Fire Skills

Fire making is an essential survival skill for anyone who spends time outdoors. In this program, students will work in teams to lay and light a small fire. Proper fuel harvesting, fire safety, and environmental impacts will all be emphasized as part of the lesson. Depending on the skill level of the group, students may also be challenged to try boiling a pot of water, roasting a marshmallow, or burning through a string, “Survivor”-style!
